Dr. Lizardo's educational career began in 2006 as a teacher at Samyook University. He then transitioned to Cleburne Independent School District (ISD) in Texas, where he continued to impart knowledge and inspire students. His passion for education and leadership potential soon led him to Arlington ISD. There, he served in multiple capacities: as a teacher, assistant principal, and notably, as a school principal for eight years. In these roles, Dr. Lizardo was instrumental in implementing programs and strategies that elevated student performance and engagement.

One of Dr. Lizardo's most innovative contributions was the introduction of an esports club during his tenure as a school principal. His quest for knowledge culminated in a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Tarleton State University. His successful dissertation defense was a testament to his dedication and expertise in the field.
Leadership at Irving Independent School District
In 2022, Dr. Lizardo took on the role of Executive Director of Campus Operations and Attendance at Irving ISD. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing campus functionalities and spearheading initiatives to improve student attendance. His leadership was pivotal in implementing data-driven strategies to address attendance challenges, ensuring that students remained engaged and present in their educational journey.
